5 Ways to Access The Gift of Stewarding

May 02, 20246 min read

I so love it when the Universe, Spirit and I are dancing and the confirmations come through that affirm and confirm that I am tuning in and picking up the energies that are being directed to and through me.

As the Astrological calendar commenced in March, as it does each year, I was inspired to create an Astrological calendar connecting each sign of the zodiac with its archetypical theme. The theme of Taurus, the second sign of the zodiac is 'Stewarding', a logical next step following the energies of Aries and the Pioneer - where we are inspired by the World of Spirit to stretch into the realms of the and our unknown, breaking through barriers that have limited us as we pioneer and explore new paths, new ways of being and doing that are new to us.

Back to the energies and theme of Taurus, Stewarding. We have been put on notice to Steward into being that which has been revealed to us when working with the energies of the Pioneer. And yet the concept of Stewarding, a Gift of Spirit has for many been limited to the definition of stewarding our possessions, the material world and the resources in it. And yes, whilst this is part of it - there is so much more to this amazing GIft of Spirit for us to cultivate.

As we expand our understanding of the archetype of the Steward  and The Spiritual Gift of Stewarding, this gift extends into all vehicles of consciousness - physical, emotional, mental, intuitive and Spiritual. Inherent in the energies of Stewardship is the responsibility we are entrusted with in ensuring the well-being, nurturing, care and development of the environment, relationships, resources, talents, or one's own spiritual journey that connect with and relate to these different facets of who we are.

The Native American Indians and so many of the Indigenous cultures of the world understand this concept of Stewardship way beyond the materialism of the world we live in. They have a deep sense of reverence for and honour of the Earth, and all who inhabit her as a part of the interconnectedness of all life. The concept of ownership is foreign to them - all is on loan from Great Spirit. We are mere custodians for future generations tasked with preserving and enhancing the beauty and vitality of what we have been entrusted with.

Their Sacred Teachings further emphasise that each person is embodied with their own personal medicine - their gifts, talents and abilities they have been entrusted with to be used in service to and for the good of all. In honouring this teaching, Stewardship is a deep sense of mindfulness, honour, reverence, accountability, harmony, sustainability, and growth. Our talents, gifts, abilities, our purpose are all a part of the manner in which Spirit works through us. We are here to bring Spirit into matter, to bring form to that which is formless, to manifest the inspiration and thought forms that we are entrusted with as a part of the co-creation and dance that we engage in with the Universe.

And where we have been granted the gift of leading others, we are entrusted with facilitating and creating space for each person to add their gifts, talents and abilities in service to the whole. Not to do so, dishonours their sacredness and the trust that has been placed in the contribution that they are here to add to co-creating the future for the next 7 Generations. This shines a whole different light on Stewardship as a gift embedded in leadership.

As Stewards of what makes us who we are, we recognize the sacred nature of all we have been gifted, we cultivate our gifts with gratitude and reverence, we nurture them, ourselves and use them in service for the greater good.

Five ways we steward our gifts and talents... We

  1. Honour Our Gifts: we recognize our innate talents and gifts as divine blessings that have been entrusted to us. We honour them by acknowledging that they originate from the spiritual realm and express heartfelt gratitude for our uniqueness.

  2. Cultivate and Develop Our Talents: we understand the importance of nurturing and developing our gifts and talents as an expression of Spirit and our God given potential. We invest time, energy and effort into learning, honing our skills, utilising a variety of methods and opportunities to learn, to grow, to practise, to master, whether through formal training, self-study, or spiritual practices

  3. Using Our Gifts for Service: our gifts are not solely for personal gain. We know and understand that our gifts and talents are part of the interconnected tapestry of all life and are meant to be used in service to others and for the greater good. We seek opportunities to share our talents with compassion and generosity, whether through acts of creativity, healing, teaching, or leadership. Not only does this apply to our unique expression, we also encourage and connect with the energies, gifts and talents of others, inviting them to play their part in serving the greater good.

  4. Aligning with Divine Purpose: stewardship encompasses and encourages alignment with our true purpose and calling. Discerning the deeper meaning and purpose behind our gifts, we seek guidance from the Spirit realm to understand how we can best serve the highest good. We have been granted our unique purpose through the inspiration from Spirit and the knowing of our intuition. In fact the gifts and talents that are ours, have been aligned in order for us to honour and deliver on our purpose and to live with meaning as we harmonise with Divine Will.

  5. Stewarding with Integrity and Responsibility: opens us up to strive to use our gifts and talents in a manner that is aligned with our values and principles. Integral to honouring that which we have been gifted, is being in Spiritual integrity causing no harm to ourselves and others as well as taking full responsibility and accountability for the choices that we make in living in line with Natural Law and Divine Principle.

Stewarding our gifts, talents, and abilities involves being in integrity with who we are on the inside - our Be-I-Ng, of which our gifts and talents are a part; honouring, cultivating, aligning and taking responsibility for our Divine purpose in order to be of service to others and the greater good. By stewarding our spiritual gifts with mindfulness and reverence, we contribute to the manifestation of divine abundance and harmony in the world.

Practices that support us in accessing Stewardship involve mindfulness, meditation, prayer, or rituals and ceremonies aimed at honouring the sacredness of life and the interconnectedness of all beings. It also involves walking in balance and beauty with reverence for the Earth and all who live and walk upon her.

The Gift of Stewarding, the essence of Taurian energy, serves to enlighten and empower us to be conscious co-creators in our ongoing process of learning, growth, evolution and transformation, offering this expanding version of who we are with a sense of reverence, wonder, responsibility, as we co-create a new world of interconnection for the next 7 generations.
